Starting Fresh

2010 is a new year for new things and great success...at least that's what I'm claiming!!!  As you may recall, Sean took the Professional Engineer's exam last April shortly after losing his job.  He was quite distracted with everything life had dealt him - job loss, new baby, etc.  During the exam, he said that all he could think about was how he was going to pay bills and provide for his family with the new baby on the way and no job! (Obviously, he had not yet given it to the Lord.)  I'm sure that taking an exam to advance your "job" status did not help either.  Well, Sean wound up failing that exam (just by a few points, but it was still failing).  He could have taken it this past October, but the date was close to my due date.  Since it's an 8 hour exam over an hour away during which time he cannot be reached at all, he didn't want to risk leaving his 8 1/2 month pregnant wife alone with his 3 and 5 year olds.  He did not think he could concentrate well then either.  Since he is not "actively" in the engineering field anymore (he is now a project manager for a property management company), he had not planned to pursue the test this spring.  However, having his licensing does benefit him in his job.  SOOOOO, after a conversation with his boss yesterday, Sean is now signed up to re-take the test on April 16th.  Lots of prayers for clarity of mind and understanding both on test day and beforehand during the study time would be GREATLY appreciated.

On a side note...Kadynce's wonderful sleep schedule was short-lived.  Her 2-3 a.m. bedtimes have returned no matter how hard I try to fight it.  We'll just keep working on an earlier bedtime and know that someday soon it will catch on. ;)  Meanwhile, I am busy getting her princess room set up as she is quickly getting too big for the bassinet.  I will post pictures once I get the room completed.  Still gathering all the princess stuff right now...mobile and window valance have been ordered, and I'm going to pick up the diaper stacker today.  Hoping to make her a bow holder as well.

I am going to try to work on photos today so hopefully, I'll have some to share soon from the holidays.  Until then, have a FABULOUS Friday!!!
